Life Skills & Leadership Program

Beyond Karate's Life Skills program teaches students valuable life lessons and practical skills. It focuses on helping individuals develop personal growth, confidence, and essential life competencies that extend beyond martial arts training. The program is designed to equip students with tools to succeed both on and off the mat.

Josie's Story

Beyond Karate student punching with blue gloves

Josie began her martial arts journey at the age of 7 under the guidance of Sensei Mallica. While she initially faced a mix of excitement and anxiety, her dedication soon led her to embrace the experience fully, attending camps and classes regularly. Josie's passion and commitment made her the first student to be hired into the program, and today, she shares her knowledge and enthusiasm by helping coach the 11:30 AM Saturday class. With a natural ability to bring joy to others, Josie continues to inspire and uplift everyone she trains with.
